Message Porsche 928 is a poor choice, no easy mods worth the $$$, good luck getting quality repairs. It has so much one off technology that no one know how to repair them. Steering is vague, the drive is harsh and noisy. One-off wheel offset so there are few choices. Anything but the correct offset wheels makes the car steer weird. The engine on later models has a "flat spot" which shows up at 4500rpm on every dyno chart.

Jag XJR is amazing, power, handling, Luxury interior, muscular looks, smooth and quiet ride. Supercharger is easy to mod, just change the pulley for a modest HP bump.

BMW 850i, is a interesting machine but every one I ever came across needed a steering box. 4400 lb car is slower than you expect and doesn't feel like it has 300hp, car is quiet and the v12 is super smooth but lacks low end power and is very complex. No sports car should weigh 4400lbs.

Lexus GS400 was the most solid and the most detached car I ever drove. It was like playing a video game with ear plug on.

Camaro, can you say flexible! No wonder GM is going bankrupt!

Corvette, good brakes, good steering, love the torque, creaky chassis, not for me.

The car that is missing from the list is the 2000 to 2003 A8, it's got 310Hp, all wheel drive, and weighs just 3906lbs. There are many suspension mods, a good on-line community and is very fast and handles well. Steering is razor precise. The Audi V8 is the best V8 I ever had, V12 smoothness, lots of low end power, no flat spots, and pulls hard to redline, gets 28MPG on the highway. Larger, faster, cheaper, much lighter than an A6. Brakes are a big week spot, I retro fitted the Brembo's from a Porsche 928 to mine.
